Restauranteer Finds Time to Focus on Her Business
An ambitious manager for a fast-food restaurant was eager to own her own store. She knew that she had the skills to manage the operations with the utmost efficiency; a critical factor in the success of a restaurant.
After cashing in her savings and her 401-k plan she set out after her dream. The restaurant got off the ground but money was tight. She had to watch every penny and felt compelled to handle all the bookkeeping and bill paying herself to maintain control.

But an internal struggle developed. When she was managing the store, she was worrying about the money. During the hours that she spent working on the books, she often thought that she should be working on improving the store to improve the numbers. Instead she was spending time just adding up the numbers.
She wanted to get rid of the bookkeeping responsibility, but couldn't afford to hire a bookkeeper. She had heard of outsourcing this function, but feared losing control of the finances.
What she found was that by working with ERWestjohn she was able to get top quality work done at less than the cost of hiring an in-house bookkeeper. She also discovered that she still had the opportunity to review and approve every bill that needed to be paid, and even participated in a monthly meeting to review and discuss financial statements.
She still had the control, and she was more aware than ever about the financial health of her business.
